I dont usually do tutorial posts, but we’ve been having so much fun making these coffee filter flowers i though i’d share these simple steps :)
Step 1: Use liquid watercolors to spray or dip coffee filters
step 2: let filters dry completely, then fold in half, then quarters.
snip a small triangle out of the center fold.
when you open then up they will look a bit like this.
step 3: crumple up each filter separately and then slide 4 filters onto an old paintbrush (leave about an inch of the brush on top). you can even use old pencils, sticks, pipe cleaners, etc….
use any tape of choice to tightly attach the bottom part of the filters to the paintbrush. if you are doing this with kids this is the step they usually need help with.
now you can fuss with the papers and make them look pretty :)
& thats all! make a bunch to create a beautiful spring bouquet.
